Tripp Lite Presents New Watchdog System

Tripp Lite (Chicago, IL) introduced its new Watchdog System, which ensures the 100-percent availability of all unattended systems, remote or local, by monitoring and restarting critical services and the operating system. The Watchdog System is comprised of a new Watchdog application used in conjunction with any Tripp Lite UPS system that features Watchdog compatibility.

The Watchdog System provides 100-percent availability for a variety of commerce, security and communications applications. The Watchdog application automatically monitors each service to ensure that it is running and operating within user-defined thresholds. If a service is unresponsive or operating outside of the thresholds, the Watchdog application automatically restarts the service and e-mails systems administrators of the event. If the service does not restart, the Watchdog application reboots the operating system.

Tripp Lite is currently offering the Watchdog System free with select SmartPro UPS systems.
