TI Announces New TPS796xx LDO Regulator
Texas Instruments Inc. (Dallas, TX) announced its new TPS796xx family of low-dropout (LDO), low-power, linear voltage regulators, which feature high power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), ultra-low noise, fast start-up, and excellent line and load transient responses. The new regulators are suitable for cellular phones, VCOs, Bluetooth, wireless LAN, hand-held organizers and PDAs.
The TPS796xx family features a low dropout voltage of 230mV at full load; a low-dropout regulator with EN; voltages of 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.8V, 3V and 3.3V; a high PSRR of 53dB at 10kHz; ultra-low noise of 40µV; a fast start-up time of 50µs; and a 1µF ceramic capacitor.
Available in miniature SOT223-5 and five-pin, DDPAK packages, the TPS796xx family is priced from $1.04 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
