TDI Introduces Dynamic 3U Power Center

New Products Feb 05, 2008 by Jeff Shepard

Transistor Devices Inc. (TDI) introduced a compact power and control center providing what is described as reliable 48V power, rated up to 1,200W. Occupying only three standard rack units of height, it provides three hot-plug 400W rectifiers that convert 90-264V ac into dc suitable for battery charging and float.

Power distribution is provided through fifteen GMT fuses. The battery connection is protected by a circuit breaker and an optional LVD is available for additional battery protection. The power center is monitored & controlled with TDI’s eLink100 ethernet controller, providing full ethernet and SNMP functionality. Well suited for outdoor, equipment cabinets with battery backup, this power center enables site performance management by providing power and signals for flush fans, door alarms and other environmental controls. For additional network awareness, an auxiliary 12Vdc output can be used to operate an Ethernet switch.

Additional features include: N +1 redundancy; 100% front access; battery breaker and LVD; input: 90-277Vac, 47-63 Hz; output: -54Vdc, adjustable; and agency compliance: EN55022, Class A UL60950, IEC60950.
