Schaefer Offers 110VDC Input On 3KVA 2U Rackmount Inverter
Schaefer, Inc. has expanded its family of pure sine wave inverters with the new AEP-U3000R-110x series of 3KVA rackmount products with 110Vdc input. The AEP-U3000R pure sine inverters are said to offer benefits over modified or quasi-sine wave units by delivering "clean" output power for improved efficiency well-suited for powering sensitive loads and heavily inductive loads.
The AEP-U3000R series is available in five standard input configurations of 12, 24, 48Vdc, 110 and 220Vdc. Outputs are available in 115 or 230Vac 50/60Hz versions, which are regulated to +/-2% or better. A built-in UPS mode allows toggling of priority and control of a 4-6ms automatic bypass switch to allow for redundant operation from utility power if the dc or ac supply drops out.
All models in the AEP-U3000R series feature comprehensive protection circuitry and a digital display to monitor/indicate input undervoltage, short circuit, input overvoltage, over temperature, overload and low battery. The display also indicates voltage, amperage, power, temperature and UPS status. Efficiency runs about 90 - 92% with a 110Vdc input. Operating temperature is -30 to +60°C. EMI is minimized for reduced impact on other sensitive equipment.
The compact, rackmount design is rugged and suitable for industrial, satellite, military, computer, recreational, marine and general backup power applications. The slim size of 17.12" x 16.69"(19" rack) x 3.48" fits easily into low-profile (2U) racks.
