Radius Power Offers RP300 Series Filters

Radius Power Inc. (Orange, CA) announced the availability of its new three-phase power line filters, the RP300 Series, which are compact EMI filters that weigh up to 50 percent less than competitive models, according to the company. The filters meet all international and domestic safety and conductive requirements, making them suitable for industrial motors; medical equipment; factory automation; welding equipment and other high-current, three-phase applications.

The RP300 filters do not require the use of heavy potting compounds, which gives the filters better thermal characteristics, comparable shock and vibration specifications, and 50-percent weight savings. The RP300 eliminates equipment and mains-borne electro-magnetic interferences, and is available in delta or Y configurations in standard 25A to 400A versions with custom versions available up to 800A. The devices are C-US (CSA/UL) and EN (Europe) approved for input voltages up to 480Vac, meeting most ac-input line requirements.

Available off-the-shelf, the RP300-25 is priced around $5 in 100-piece quantities, while the RP110 is priced around $7. Custom modifications and complete input power assemblies are also available.
