RO Associates, Inc. has released a new high efficiency "Quarterbrick" with 48V input and 3.3V at 35 amps. The QV48-3.3-35-1 is a member of RO’s second generation of quarter-brick modules. This improved series of converters producing 35A of 3.3V at 91% efficiency. The minimal power loss performance is maintained across the load range and is complimented by advanced thermal management and packaging techniques. This combination of performance and packaging makes reliable operation at high currents possible without the use of a heat sink.
The QV48-3.3-35-1 comes in the industry standard package of 2.3 x 1.45 x 0.42 inches. The QuattroVerterTM module is available in both through hole and surface mount packages. These open frame modules include remote sense, positive and negative on/off logic options, clamping over voltage protection, and a trim range of –20 to +10%. Additional features include current limiting, short circuit protection and excellent transient response.
Evaluation boards are available and the modules are UL/CSA/TUV & CE compliant. Pricing for the QV48-3.3-35-1 is $94 each for single units and $74 each in lots of 1,000.
