Prof Leo Lorenz received the Ernst Blickle Award

Friday, May 8th Prof.- Dr. Leo Lorenz received the Ernst Blickle Award for his lifetime contributions to  Power Electronics and his continuing contribution to foster leading edge communications around the world.

Rainer Blickle, the grandson of the founder of SEW Eurodrive and Chairman of the Blickle foundation, made the award during  a ceremony in the Castle of Bruchsal. The foundation was started by Edeltraut Blickle in 1986 in memory of her husband’s lifetime work. In addition to Dr. Lorenz, eighteen students received awards for their excellent work during their diploma studies. The award ceremony was complimented by speakers that providing good practical advice to the students.
