N2Power Announces Two New 5 Volt DC-DC Power Supply Models

N2Power announced expansion to its families of dc-dc power supplies. The new XL125-05DC and XL160-05DC 5V models are designed specifically for OEM applications where small size, high efficiency and reliability are critical.

The new 5V dc-dc power supplies were developed to meet the particular requirements of international telecom systems manufacturers, and complement the ac-dc versions of the same families.

Up to 87% power efficiency is achieved utilizing N2Power’s "green" packaging technology. These unique designs leave the heat in the load, not in the supply, reducing power consumption, improving reliability and lowering cost of ownership.

"Our OEM customers want the same advantages of small footprint, power efficiency, value and quality that they gained buying our ac-dc power supplies in their dc-dc requirements," said Randy Johnson, Vice President and General Manager of N2Power. "They requested dc input versions of the 5Vac designs that they have been purchasing."

The new models join the XL125 dc-dc and XL160 dc-dc families introduced in 2009. These dc-dc product lines offer designers an extensive range of capabilities. Thirty-two multi-output models offer outputs from 5 volts to 56V. N2Power supplies meet a full range of international standards, including RoHS, UL, CE Mark, DEMKO and FCC Class B.
