Mobility Launches iGo® PowerXtender&trade Battery-Operated Power Supply
Mobility Electronics Inc. announced that it is now shipping the new iGo powerXtender, the first Mobility Electronics product that utilizes battery power to provide hours of extra runtime to virtually any mobile device. The iGo powerXtender is designed to power most mobile electronic gadgets, such as mobile phones, MP3 players and PDAs with battery power.
"The new iGo powerXtender is a great complement to our existing solutions," said Charles Mollo, the company's CEO. "We recognized the need in the marketplace for a portable power adapter that uses batteries instead of ac-dc power sources. Many mobile device users don't always have access to ac-dc power; the powerXtender now enables them to stay powered up virtually anywhere."
The iGo powerXtender uses four AA batteries to power just about any mobile device on the market, providing extra runtime when away from standard power outlets. The new iGo powerXtender is so compact and lightweight, it can easily be put in a briefcase, purse or suitcase, making it convenient for frequent travelers. Like all iGo adapters, the iGo powerXtender leverages the company's patented intelligent tip technology, which allows one adapter to charge multiple devices through the use of interchangeable power tips. Users are able to charge hundreds of brands and thousands of models of mobile electronic devices quickly and easily. The iGo powerXtender is available online at the company's website and at select retail locations nationwide, and retails for $24.99.
