Micro Analog Systems Oy (Finland) announced its new MAS9161 80mA, LDO regulator IC, which offers a quiescent current of 10.5µA and a dropout voltage of 200mV, making the device suitable for use as a power supply in applications that have long standby periods and require a long battery life.
Packaged in a TSOT-5 casing, the device operates from a 6V supply and provides several output-voltage options, including 2.65V, 2.8V and 3.3V. The IC also includes an enable/disable pin, internal thermal protection circuitry and an output-current limiter.
