Mean Well Launches New DIN Rail Switching Power Supply

Mean Well Enterprises Co. Ltd. launched a new slim-type DIN rail switching power supply series (MDR-20) for the fast growing demand of low wattage DIN rail applications. These 15 to 24W Class I models are enclosed with a fully isolated plastic case to prevent users from hazardous shock. The design of 22.5mm in width complies with the slim trend so that the precious space on the industrial rail can be saved effectively. Featuring up to 84% of efficiency, this series can be cooled by free air convection up to 70° to significantly increase the reliability and lifetime of the power supply. Another important feature of MDR-20 is its low no load power consumption (<0.75W). This unique characteristic can significantly expand the application of the MDR-20 beyond just the heavy industrial field, but can also be applied to datacom or IT applications that require green power.

The MDR-20 includes the following features: universal ac input / full range; short circuit, overload, over-voltage protection; cooling by free air convection; can be installed on DIN rail TS-35/7.5 or 15; DC OK signal output (open collector type); no load power consumption <0.75W; LED indicator for power on; and a dimension of 22.5mm x 90mm x 100mm.
