Mean Well Expands offering with 450W Enclosed Medical Power Supply

In response to the medical market requiring reliable high wattage power supplies, Mean Well Enterprise Company, Ltd. has expanded its line of medical power supplies with a 450W ac-dc unit, the MSP-450 series. Along with existing products including the MSP-100 (100W), MSP-200 (200W), and MSP-300 (300W), Mean Well now offers medical power supplies from 100W to 450W. The new MSP-450 series comply with international medical safety regulations (MOOP level) and EMI Class B level. Featuring with low leakage current, they can fulfill the demands of medical applications and are good power solutions for non-patient contact medical applications.

Featuring with 85 to 264Vac universal input, MSP-450 provides 3.3V to 48V output voltage options and possesses up to 89.5% of high efficiency. It can be forced air cooling by built-in dc fan at -40 °F - +70 °F ambient temperature. These units also feature no load power consumption <0.6W. Other standard functions include protections for short circuit, overload (constant current mode), over voltage, and over temperature, 300Vac input surge immunity for 5 seconds, built-in remote ON/OFF control, built-in remote sense, and DC OK signal output.

In addition, MSP-450 series comply with global medical certificates per UL/ CUL/ CB/ CE that ensure user safety. Suitable applications include medical equipment requiring low leakage current, chemical or biological detection equipment, analysis facilities, and any systems requiring low no load power consumption.
