MB Series inverter

Endicott Research Group Inc. (ERG, Endicott, NY) introduced the MB Series inverter. According to ERG, the inverter provides all of the capabilities and flexibility of the MC Series, but forgoes some extra features such as pulse-width modulation. The inverter is designed to provide design engineers with a lighter and smaller unit to power liquid crystal displays (LCDs) that are backlit by multiple cold cathode florescent tubes (CCFTs). The inverter is designed to power as many as ten CCFTs, and is open-frame designed with an on-board transformer that is fully encapsulated. According to Endicott, the MB Series maintains the MC Series' plug and play configuration. In quantities of 1,000, pricing for the MB inverter is less than $32.23 each.
