Maxell Intros New Alkaline Battery Multi-Packs

Maxell Corp. (Las Vegas, NV) announced that it is offering new, consumer-friendly and retailer-friendly packaging in 24-piece and 48-piece multi-pack configurations to its AA alkaline battery line. The new retail-friendly 24-piece pack batteries are shrink-wrapped in inner-packs of four within a re-sealable package.

"Sales growth in the alkaline segment is being driven by the popularity of larger pack sizes that is being generated by an increase in battery usage overall," said Peter Brinkman, vice president of marketing at Maxell. "The new packaging initiatives are intended to accelerate that growth by giving retailers a tool to merchandise more effectively and to give the consumer even more value."
