Magnetic Connector offers Higher Current-Handling Capability
GlobTek offers off the shelf magnetic connector MAG2C2A11851M5xxxA(R as a standard magnetic connector output cord option for power supplies or MAG2C2A11851M5USBA(R as a detachable connector with USB-A termination.
This upgraded version of the company’s popular magnetic connector system offers #20 Gauge 2 conductor cable in a 1.5 meter length. Mating panel mounted jack, JACKMAG2C2A, is also available for system side implementation.
This magnetic connection system features Super Strong N52 Neodymium Magnets, one of the world's strongest and most powerful rare earth magnets. Electrical contact is made via gold plated pogo pins, and all components are connected with various types of electrical cable and overmolded.
Self-locating magnetic connectors allow for a high number of mating cycles eliminating failed connections. GlobTek magnetic connectors are vibration-proof, cleanable and allow for a correct connection in the most inaccessible of locations.
The "tearaway function” prevents damage to the connector by accidental or unintended disconnection.
Many variations and customizations are available such as lengths, colors, and also mating cables. Combined current, data, LAN and RF connection customizations is an option.
