Magna-Power Offers 100kW to 750kW Power

Magna-Power Electronics Inc. recently introduced the MT Series of 100kW to 750kW dc power supplies, featuring 29 models ranging from 16 to 800Vdc and 120 to 7,500Adc. It can be operated in series or parallel with master/slave operation. The power supplies feature digital control lines that are optically isolated. Over-voltage protection and over-current protection shutdown are standard for the MT Series.

The MT Series power supplies replace Magna-Power Electronics’ popular TQ line. The MT Series offers high speed polyphase choppers to enhance performance well above classical SCR based designs.

Other specifications for the MT Series include a regulation line and load combined of 0.10 percent. Stability is 0.10 percent for eight hours after a 30-minute warm-up. Transient response is 40ms to recover within two percent of regulated output with a 30-percent step load change. Ambient temperatures for the devices range from 0 to 50° C.
