LTC Intros New LT3430IFE Switching Regulator
Linear Technology Corp. (LTC, Milpitas, CA) announced the industrial temperature grade of the LT3430, the LT3430IFE. The LT3430 is a constant frequency, step-down, switching regulator that utilizes a 3A internal switch. It can operate within a VIN range of 5.5V to 60V and can deliver up to 2.75A of continuous output current at voltages as low as 1.25V, making it suitable for telecom, automotive and industrial applications.
The LT3430IFE is the I-grade version of the LT3430EFE. All electrical specifications are identical to the E-grade version. The LT3430IFE features efficiencies as high as 90 percent even in low duty cycle applications; a constant 200kHz switching frequency; external synchronization from 228kHz to 700kHz; a -40 to +125 degrees C operating junction temperature; a high efficiency 3A, 0.1 Ohm switch; a supply current of 2.5mA during normal operation; and a shutdown current of 25µA.
The LT3430IFE is available in a thermally enhanced, TSSOP package enabling optimum heat dissipation within a small low-profile solution footprint. The LT3430IFE is available from stock and pricing starts at $5.69 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
