Lishen Battery Offers New Lithium-Ion Battery

Tianjin Lishen Battery Joint-Stock Co. Ltd. (China) announced that is has developed a winding gel-polymer lithium-ion battery that offers a similar manufacturing process as prismatic lithium-ion batteries. The new battery is claimed to be easy and simple to mass produce.

The battery achieves a high mass energy density of >160Wh/kg and a high volumetric energy density of >400Wh/L. It also exhibits good electrical properties even at temperatures as low as –20 degrees C. The product also delivers a life cycle of >300 charge and discharge operation.
