June 10, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Innoveta Technologies Inc. (Plano, TX) expanded its new Maxeta full-brick, dc/dc converter product line to include 48V input, 12V and 28V outputs, and 24V input, 28V output for wireless applications. The Maxeta Series provides a total solution for wireless power RF amplifiers, as well as telecom, data-com and optical networking equipment providers.

The new converters accept a wide input range from either 36V to 75V, or 18V to 36V; provide 42A (500W) or 50A (600W) at 12V, and 18A (500W) or 21.4A (600W) at 28V from a 48V input bus; 15A (420W) at 28V from a 24V input bus; and feature 92-percent efficiency, 110W/in³ power density, an operating range from –40 to +110 degrees C, industry-standard dimensions of 2.4in x 4.6in x 0.5in (61mm x 116.8mm x 12.7mm), selectable on/off control, remote sense, power-good indication, auxiliary logic output, single-wire active current sharing for parallel operation, a wide-range output trim, auto-recovery protection circuitry to safeguard against input over-voltage and under-voltage, output over-current and short circuit, and over-heating.
