HiTek Power Debuts OL330/OL400 Power Supplies

HiTek Power (Santee, CA) announced the release of its OL330 and OL400 high-voltage, 19in, rack-mount power supplies, which are designed for ion implantation, x-rays, cable testing, CRT testing and laboratory use, and are fully CE marked for safety EN60950. The design utilizes high-frequency MOSFET switching techniques, incorporating low RDS (on) MOSFETs switched at 50kHz, combined with non-dissipative snubbing to achieve a high power-to-volume ratio.

Both the 330W and the 400W model have available output voltage ranges of 10kV to 80kV, and the output polarity can be positive or negative as ordered. The module is available air-insulated up to 40kV. An encapsulated version is available for the arduous electrical conditions to be found in an ion implanter or similar environments, where output short circuits are common place. All models are protected against damage from over-current, over-voltage, over-temperature and output short circuit.

The OL330 is priced at $3,578 in OEM quantities, and the OL400 is priced at $3,450 in OEM quantities. Both require an 8 to 12 week lead time.
