High-Voltage Resistors now Handle up to 3kV

February 24, 2016 by Jeff Shepard

The HVC Series from Stackpole is a thick-film surface-mount chip resistor series designed for high voltage handling and high resistance value. The working voltages for several chip sizes have now been improved: the 1206 size now is rated at 1500 Volts, the 2010 is now 2000 Volts, and the 2512 is now 3000 Volts. In addition to these outstanding high working voltage ratings, the HVC Series has low VCR, TCR available down to 25 ppm, and tolerances as low as 0.1%.

This high precision makes the HVC Series well-suirted for a wide variety of medical applications, patient monitoring, medical imaging, instrumentation, defibrillators, test and analysis, and data acquisition / communication / and monitoring.

Pricing for the HVC Series varies with size, resistance value, tolerance, and TCR. Contact Stackpole or a franchised distributor partner for volume pricing. Many popular values and sizes are in stock in the popular 1% tolerance and 50ppm TCR, and also in 0.1% tolerance and 25ppm TCR.
