The RSPF from Stackpole is a power metal film thru-hole resistor designed for high power and pulse power applications. The RSPF Series is available in power ratings from 1/4 W up to 3W with 1% tolerance available. This series offers resistance values from 2.2 ohms up to 1Meg ohm, and the coating is flame proof per UL94V-0.
In addition, the RSPF Series has excellent stability under short time overload conditions and outperforms general purpose metal oxide resistors of similar size for pulse handling.
Applications for the RSPF include power supplies, HVAC systems, electric motor controls, pumps, automotive and truck instrumentation, and industrial controls and power conversion.
