Eveready Battery Co. Inc. (St. Louis, MO) recently announced its new Energizer e2 (e-squared) titanium battery. The e2 uses a form of titanium compound and new cell construction. According to Eveready, the battery will last 240 percent longer than the average battery in a digital camera, or 78 percent longer in a regular camera. The new battery also includes what Eveready claims is the first-of-its-kind recloseable package, called the E-SNAP, on all blister packs. The new packaging allows consumers to store batteries in the same plastic pack in which they were purchased. A gauge-style battery tester is also available on every cell size, except 9V.
