Emerson Network Power Introduces New Liebert PSI

New Products May 22, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

Emerson Network Power introduced an extention of the Liebert PSI family of UPS systems with a new (1920 VA) model. The Liebert PSI is a line-interactive, rack-mount UPS that takes just 2U of rack space and can be ordered network enabled from the factory with the Liebert OpenComms Web Card installed for integrated SNMP communications.

With the addition of this model, customers have five unique power capacities to match specific computing needs from 1,000 to 3,000VA. It utilizes industry standard backup power technology to enhance data network availability. Fewer battery replacements are needed due to a wide input voltage window which reduces the number of times the UPS goes to battery. The flexible UPS is easy to configure for extended run times.

"The Liebert PSI delivers reliable cost-effective power protection for small networks and remote locations," said Tony Marrow, Liebert product manager. "This is an easy-to-configure system that provides a number of features that are typically only found in higher-end systems."
