Eltek Valere V-Series HE Rectifier Surpasses Verizon Green Standard
Eltek Valere announced that its V-Series HE 48V ac-dc rectifier has earned a 9.59 energy efficiency rating in testing performed by an independent test laboratory to the Telecommunication Equipment Energy Efficiency Ratings (TEEER) standard developed by Verizon.
The V-Series HE achieved this TEEER rating by delivering what is described as an industry-leading 96% efficiency for ac to dc conversion during the tests at both 50% and 100% of load. The TEEER score is defined as a direct relationship between the system operation and its power consumption, weighted for different power levels.
Under the Verizon standard, a calculated TEEER value represents the system energy efficiency rating on a scale from one (least efficient) to 10 (most efficient).
"The V-Series rectifier has a very large installed base in the Americas and these test results show that Eltek Valere is continuing to invest in this product family to keep it at the cutting edge of efficiency," said Allen Pitts, President, Americas for Eltek Valere. "Having Verizon verify our performance is validation from a major industry player of our clear leadership in high efficiency power conversion."
"The TEEER testing has been designed to provide an independent energy efficiency standard to provide a benchmark for all vendors across the telecommunications industry to adhere to," said Chuck Graff, Director, at Verizon. "Eltek Valere has demonstrated through this test that it provides an energy-efficient power conversion solution."
The V-Series rectifier is the key element of Eltek Valere’s Compact DC Power System and Integrated DC Power System, two power systems that form the foundation of the company’s North American wireline and wireless outside plant power solutions. The V-Series HE enables carriers to seamlessly upgrade their existing Compact and Integrated systems to the highest efficiency rectifier on the market.
