Elan Rolls Out Industry-Grade Multipurpose MCUs

Elan Microelectronics Corp. has announced the release of its new industry-grade microcontrollers – the EM78P311N and EM78P312N. The company claims that the multipurpose devices have streamlined architecture, advanced features, enhanced performance, and are competitively priced.

The new products are one-time programming-type MCUs equipped with Adc. They feature high noise immunity, anti-ESD and an operating temperature range of -40 – 85°C with workable SPI and UART interfaces. They offer capture, compare, PWM and key tone capabilities. The new products are versatile and suitable solutions for such applications as air-conditioning system, home appliances, metering system, control devices and other products requiring intelligent control system.

The streamlined architecture of these devices includes 2K/4K 13bit ROM, 144bytes RAM, up to 22 I/O ports, ERC/crystal dual oscillation systems, Watch Dog Timer (WDT), 8bit 1 PWM, programmable divider output (PDO), time base timer (1Hz-16KHz at 8MHz) with interrupts, key tone output (1KHz-8KHz at 8MHz), 8 channels 10bit A/D converter, SPI and UART. Both devices are commercially available in 28 DIP, SOP and SSOP packages.
