Duracell adds Powermat Wireless Charging Solution for The iPhone 5
Duracell Powermat now offers a new suite of products for the iPhone 5 that elegantly marries the world of backup power with the convenience or wireless charging in an array of modular designs. The iconic new design for the Duracell Powermat iPhone 5 was conceived by famed designer, Yves Behar, and his award-winning industrial design and brand development firm, Fuseproject.
The new line includes a protective and sleek Access Case, which enables wireless charging for the iPhone 5 on any enabled surface - at home, in the office, and in a growing network of public places. Consumers can also attach a 1950mAH Duracell-grade "SnapBattery" that more than doubles the iPhone 5's battery life while letting them add and remove the battery - and the bulk - as desired. Simply 'snap on' the Snapbattery on the case when you need it and 'snap it off' when you don't. Moreover, just like the Access Case, the SnapBattery itself can be recharged on any powermat or through your computer via any USB cable.
"People avoid battery cases and back up batteries because they add some bulk and recharging them is a hassle," said Ron Rabinowitz, Duracell Powermat CEO. "With the new Duracell Powermat PowerSnap case and battery, you are free to have the extra power only when you need it, and enjoy the convenience of wireless charging at all times, with or without the battery. Just set your phone and/or battery down to recharge."
Both new and existing fans of Duracell Powermat will also appreciate the new TravelMat. Offering the height of versatility, the TravelMat combines both a battery and a wireless charger in one completely wireless solution. Users can enjoy an additional 4200 mAh of additional power by simply setting an enabled device on the TravelMat surface in any setting. No cords involved.
The TravelMat also includes a USB output port located behind the iconic copper tab for powering higher capacity devices such as iPads, other tablets, and ebooks.
"With Duracell Powermat's new PowerSnap kit and TravelMat, separately or together, there is no better solution to keep your iPhone 5's battery in the green zone all day, no matter where you are," said Ron Rabinowitz. "And, as an added bonus, Duracell Powermat users will be able to tap into the growing public network of wireless charging spots that are being deployed across the nation, in places like Madison Square Garden, Delta Sky Clubs in airports, coffee shops, malls and many more," he added.
Duracell Powermat offers the AccessCase and the SnapBattery in a 'PowerSnap kit' bundle for $99.99, or together with the Travelmat for $199.99.
They are also available separately at $49.99 (Access case), $59.99 (Snap battery) and $129.99 (Travel mat). Duracell Powermat's new lineup for iPhone 5 is now available at Duracellpowermat.com, and as of June 21st, in most AT&T stores and select wireless channels.
