Dual 375nA Op Amp with Independent Shutdowns
Out of the hundreds of op amps available in the market, the SLG88101 is uniquely suited as a high performance front end for Silego's GPAK Mixed signal array products. Both products excel in low-power, space constrained, and lower cost platforms.
The new SLG88101 is a dual operational amplifier with independent shutdowns. This op amp pairs nicely with our ultra-low power GPAK mixed-signal matrix products. The new GPAK5 with its zero static power and zero code asynchronous state machine can easily make decisions from the analog signals received from the SLG88101 and issue digital commands consuming less than a combined total of 1 uA.
Op amps are used to provide gain for small sensor signals, to filter noise, and perform a variety of functions such as peak detectors, instrumentation amplifiers, analog signal summation and mixing, current to voltage converters, rectifiers, signal generators, buffers and much more. Out of the hundreds of op amps available in the market, the SLG88101 is uniquely suited as a high performance front end for Silego’s GPAK Mixed signal array products. Both products excel in low-power, space constrained, and lower cost platforms.
Achieving low power applications specifications is possible in the “always on†mode, with 375 nA typical current consumption per channel when active. The user also has the option of using pulsed power techniques with the two independent op amp shutdown pins, to achieve even lower power consumption targets.
Key features include: Nanopower amplifiers are usually very slow but the SLG88101 achieves a respectable gain bandwidth product of 18 kHz typical with an open loop gain over 100 dB. In addition, the voltage offset of 400 uV typical allow for high gain applications while mitigating dynamic range issues.
The SLG88101 has 10 pins and comes in a tiny proprietary STDFN 2 x 2 mm package with industrial -40 to 85C performance specifications. The GPAK5 measures in at 2 x 3 mm, therefore an entire system can be realized in a footprint of less than 10 mm2. The SLG88101 has an MOQ of 3K and is priced at $0.295.
