Cosonic Releases NPO/X7R/Y5V Series Chip Capacitors

Cosonic Ent. Corp. (Taiwan) released new series of chip ceramic capacitors (the NPO, X7R, and Y5V) that are available with capacitances of 0.5 pF to 4.7 nF (NPO), 0.1 nF to 10 mF (X7R), or 10 nF to 2.2 µF (Y5V). The capacitors withstand up to 2.5 times their rated voltages at 50 mA for 5 seconds.

Rated at 25 V, 50 V, or 100 V (NPO); 16 V, 25 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, 630 V, or 1 kV (X7R); and 10 V, 16 V, 25 V, or 50 V (Y5V), the devices have a dissipation factor of 0.1 percent (NPO); 2.5 percent to 3.5 percent (X7R); and 3.5 percent to 7 percent (Y5V).
