Cosonic Releases NPO, X7R and Y5V Chip Capacitors

Cosonic Ent. Corp. (Taiwan) released its new NPO, X7R and Y5V chip ceramic capacitors that have rated capacitances of 0.5 pF to 4.7 nF (NPO), 100 pF to 10 µF (X7R) or 10 nF to 2.2 µF (Y5V). The devices are rated at 25 V, 50 V or 100 V (NPO); 16 V, 25 V, 100 V, 250 V, 500 V, 630 V or 1 kV (X7R); and 10 V, 16 V, 25 V or 50 V (Y5V); and have a dissipation factor of 0.01 (NPO); 0.025 or 0.035 (X7R); and 0.07 or 0.035 (Y5V).

The SMDs withstand 2.5 times their rated voltages. The operating temperature ranges from -55 °C to +125 °C (NPO and X7R) or -30 °C to +85 °C (Y5V).
