Caddock MP Series Power Film Resistors

October 20, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Caddock Electronics Inc. (Riverside, CA) announced its new MP Series of TO-style power film resistors that are suitable for use in power electronics circuits as snubbers, current limiting, loads, current sensing and other power resistor applications. The compact, heat-sink-mountable designs are suitable for high power density designs. The non-inductive design allows the resistors to operate up to 500MHz in the 25 Ohms to 100 Ohms range. Values as low as 0.005 ohm are also suitable for current-sensing applications.

The MP Series features power ratings of up to 25W at +25 degrees C case temperature for the TO-126, up to 50W at +25 degrees C case temperature for the TO-220, up to 60W at +25 degrees C case temperature for the TO-220 clip mount, and up to 100W at +25 degrees C case temperature for the TO-247. The resistance range is 0.005 ohm to 100killohm, and tolerances range from one percent standard in most resistances to five percent.

With many standard values available from stock, lead time is six weeks ARO.
