Astrodyne Corp. (Taunton, MA) unveiled its OFM 40/60 open-frame, modular switching power supplies that provide output power of 40W to 60W. All models accept universal input from 85Vac to 265Vac, and 18 models are available that provide single outputs of 3.3Vdc to 48Vdc.
The series provides a small mechanical footprint with power densities greater than 6W/in³. The series features an integral power-good LED indicator and output adjustment potentiometer, and will operate over the ambient temperature range of 0°C to 50°C without forced cooling or output power de-rating.
All models contain over-voltage and short-circuit protection circuitry and internal-input filtering. The power supplies measure 2in x 4in x 1.2in, and all models feature Molex-style I/O connectors. Prices start at $16 in OEM quantities. Delivery is stock to two weeks ARO.
