Astrodyne Expands Micro-Miniature 5W Switching Power Supplies in 3 Packages

Astrodyne Corp. announced that it has expanded its PowerBlock micro-miniature Modular Switching Power Supply series to include three package options within the 5W offering. Designed to replace more costly and larger discrete designs, all models offer single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24Vdc.

The series has a universal input range of 90-260VAC and 47- 440Hz, with line and load regulation 0.5% of FS (typ). Additional specifications include input to output isolation of 3000Vac, output ripple/noise at 150mV Pk-Pk (typ) (20 MHz BW), and efficiency @ FL of up to 76% (typ). All models are over-voltage (clamp type) and short circuit (continuous) protected. The units have an operating temperature range of -25°C to +50°C without derating and a storage temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Three package styles include standard open PCB pin mount, SIP style open PCB pin mount or fully encapsulated PCB pin mount. Compact package sizes begin at 0.91" x 1.91" x 0.47" (SIP Style).
