Anadigics Intros HELP Family of WCDMA Power Amplifiers

Anadigics Inc. (Warren, NJ) announced a new family of 4 mm x 4 mm, high-efficiency-at-low-power (HELP™), wideband CDMA (WCDMA) power amplifier (PA) modules. The AWT6270, AWT6271, AWT6274 and AWT6275 use ANADIGICS’ proprietary-mode switching techniques to enable high efficiency operation over a wide range of output power levels resulting in a 50% reduction in average power consumption.

The new family of HELP WCDMA PAs include the AWT6270 with efficiency of 44% at +27 dBm to 21% at +16 dBm and a frequency of 830 MHz to 840 MHz, the AWT6271 with an efficiency of 45% at +28 dBm to 20% at +16 dBm and a frequency of 824 MHz to 849 MHz, the AWT6274 with an efficiency of 43% at +29 dBm to 21% at +16 dBm and a frequency of 1,850 MHz to 1,910 MHz, and the AWT6275 with an efficiency of 43% at +27.5 dBm to 21% at +16 dBm and a frequency of 1,920 MHz to 1,980 MHz.

The AWT6270, AWT6271, AWT6274 and AWT6275 are priced at $2.80 in quantities of 1,000 units. Samples are available now.
