Absopulse Compact UPS System Provides 12Vdc at 14AH
Absopulse Electronics announced the release of its UPS 12-14AH, a compact, single output DC-UPS system designed for a wide range of rugged applications. The UPS 12-14AH provides 12Vdc at 10A with a float voltage of 13.8Vdc, and is rated for a maximum of 150W. The internal BCH 151 battery management module provides current for a 10A rated output and for float-charging a built-in 14Ah gel-cell battery. The input can be powered from any ac voltage from 95 to 264Vac.
During normal operation, the UPS 12-14AH serves as a power conditioner, blocking surges, spikes and transients while maintaining stable voltage and float-charging the battery. If the ac-power fails, the battery powers the load. A low battery voltage disconnect circuit protects the battery from damage caused by low discharge during prolonged ac failure. The unit features a charger ON LED indicator as well as a low battery alarm and charger/ac fail alarm. Battery temperature compensation is available as an option.
This UPS is designed to meet the EMI standard EN 55022 (Class B), UL 60950 and equivalent safety standards. Line and load regulation are ±2% combined from zero load to full load when the charger is on; maximum ripple is 120mV peak-to-peak (without battery). The unit is convection cooled and rated for operation over 0 to 50°C for full specification, with wider temperature ranges available as an option.
The UPS 12-14AH is ruggedly constructed and housed in a (vented) 5.5" x 10" x 7" aluminum enclosure. Optional heavy ruggedizing is available for mobile applications or for use in very harsh environments.
The UPS 12-14AH is priced at around US$370 at quantities of 10 depending on options.
