8-Channel PoE+ Injectors Deliver 30W per Channel

May 24, 2019 by Scott McMahan

PULS introduced new PoE+ injectors in accordance with IEEE 802.3at - with or without an integrated power supply. Using either eight or four RJ45 ports (four port version coming soon), the PoE+ injectors ensure data transmission rates of up to 1,000Mbps (1Gbps) and 30W per channel.

The devices are suitable for new PoE installations as well as retrofit projects including plug-and-play use in all typical PoE applications, such as communication, information systems, surveillance cameras, access control, point-of-sale (PoS), and others.

Full power is continuously available on all ports. So, up to eight network devices can be powered flexibly and reliably using just one injector. PULS says it ensures the maximum level of security for its products at all times, both in terms of hardware and software. For example, if one Ethernet channel of the PoE+ injector fails, all other channels are unaffected and fully functional.

The integration of an ASIC component into the circuit design prevents intrusion, thereby protecting the devices against digital manipulation.

Furthermore, they offer high reliability even in challenging industrial environments with fluctuating network quality and high exposure to dust or temperature fluctuations. They can operate between -25°C to +70°C. The reliability is made possible with a combination of an up to 95.5% efficient electronic design and a robust metal housing.
