MEGA Electronics Inc. has introduced the MFPDF-500L-24 constant-current ac-dc power supply designed specifically for printer applications up to 500W as it can handle 750W peak loads for 3 seconds and compliments the company's line of desk top power supplies which can be adjusted to accommodate peak loads, critical for printer applications.
These power supplies operate over a universal ac input range of 90- to 264-Vac and include builtd-in power factor correction with a power factor exceeding 0.95. Protection functions include over load protection, over voltage protection, over temperature protection and short-circuit protection. The MFPDF-500L-24 has an operating temperature range of -30 to +70 degrees C (they deliver full rated current of 21A up to 50 degrees C and derate linearly to 12A at 50 degrees C.
