42W Multiple-Output Level VI Power Adapters

TRUMPower announces the TSA42 power adapter series, which are compliant with DOE level VI. Measuring 146mm x 76mm x 43mm, the TSA42 units are furnished with an IEC 320/C14 ac inlet and a power-on indicator.

The series comes with 16 dual- and triple-output models offering combinations of +3.3V, ±5V, +5.1V, +7.2V, ±12V, ±15V and ±24V at 23.82- to 42-W output power. It features 80 to 84 percent efficiency at full load and 0.3W no-load power consumption. Standard output connector is a 5-pin DIN plug but alternative output connectors are available upon request.

The power supply is approved to UL/IEC/EN 60950-1 2nd edition safety standards and it is UL, cUL, CB, CE, TUV/GS, PSE approved. The unit complies with EMC and immunity standards including EN55022, FCC Class B, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-5, EN61000-4-11, etc.

The power supply is RoHS compliant and accepts a 90 to 264 VAC universal input. Withstand voltage is specific at 4242Vdc from input to output and 2677Vdc from input to ground. The units can operate at 0 to +70 degrees C ambient temperature (de-rating applies above 40°C) and the MTBF is higher than 100,000 hours at full load, 25°C ambient calculated per MIL-HDBK-217F. Output protections include short-circuit, over voltage, and over load.
