Mean Well has unveiled the RPS-300-C (300W) series miniature green enclosed type medical power supplies. The electrical specifications of this product all follow the RPS-300 series, open-frame units. When cooled by free air convection, these power supplies are rated for 200W. They are rated for 300W with 20.5CFM forced air. They include a 12Vdc/0.5A fan supply and a standby supply of 5V/1A.
The RPS-300-C offers a performance improvement compared with the company’s MSP-300 series enclosed medical power supplies including: dimension from 199x98x38 mm to 130x86.6x43 mm; working efficiency from 89% to 93%, and leakage current from 450μA to 250μA. These improved specifications make the RPS-300-C well-suit those medical/health care/aesthetic medicine /biochemical testing equipment, medical monitoring devices or the central pharmacy warehouse systems that it is an ideal enclosed type medical standard power supply solution.
These ac-dc power supplies have a 90- to 264-Vac universal input range and are also offered with 12-Vdc and 48-Vdc inputs. The ac-input units include active power factor correction. The operating temperature range is -30 to +70 degrees C. Protection functions include: Short circuit/Overload/Over voltage/Over temperature. These power supplies are approved for UL/CUL/TUV/CB/CE and are equipped with LED indicator for power on. They measure (L x W x H): 130 x 86.6 x 43 mm.
They comply with IEC60601-1 3rd version, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 and TUV EN60601-1 medical related safety regulations, possessing 2 x MOPP isolation level and ultra low leakage current (<250uA) that is suitable to be applied to various type BF (Body Floating, patient contact type) medical equipment. Furthermore, the ultra low no load power consumption (<0.5W) helps meet the energy-saving requirements.
