3-Watt Encapsulated AC-DC Power

MEAN WELL has unveiled the IRM-03(S) series of 3W encapsulated ac-dc power supplies. Key specifications of this product include the miniature size and the ultra-low no load power consumption wattage (<0.075W). The IRM-03(S) series can help system designers resolve issues of insufficient PCB layout space for the terminal equipment and also comply with the global regulations requiring low power consumption for electronic devices.

Depending on application requirements, this series is offered with the PCB mounting (IRM-03) and the SMD mounting (IRM-03S) that are compatible with hand welding or SMT onto PCB mother boards of various electric apparatuses or industrial electromechanical facilities. Suitable applications include: industrial devices, mechanical instruments, automation facilities, hand-held electrical devices, IoT-related equipment, etc.

The IRM-03(S) series complies with international EMI standards with the need for additional external components. These power supplies have a universal input voltage range of 85- to 305-Vac and a no-load power consumption of under 0.075W. The operating temperature range is -30 to +85 degrees C. These units include short-circuit, overload and over-voltage protection. Packaged in a 94V-0 flame retardant plastic case the IRM-03(S) power supplies can withstand 5G vibration. Dimensions are, (H x W x H): 37 x 24 x 15mm (PCB mounting style); 37 x 24 x 16mm (SMD style).
