Mean Well Enterprise Co. Ltd. has extended the power range of its DIN-rail power supply line with the new NDR-240 (240W) and NDR-480 (480W) product series. These two series feature the low width of the power body, 63mm and 85.5mm, respectively, which resolves the issue of the limited space on the rail for system designers. Furthermore, compared to the previous generation DRP-240/480 series, the volume of NDR-240/480 is lowered by 43% and 51.6%, respectively, that NDR-240/480 will be the best choices for terminal cabinets with limited internal rail spacing. Suitable applications include industrial control system, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation, electro-mechanical apparatus, etc.
These power supplies can be installed on DIN rail TS-35/7.5 or TS-35/15. They operate from a universal input voltage of 90- to 264-Vac and include active power factor correction. With efficiencies up to 92.5%, these units feature a fanless design with cooling by free air convection. They have a working temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees C.
The NDR-240/480 comply with EN61000-6-2(EN50082-2) industrial immunity level and are approved to UL508/TUV/CB/CE. They include short circuit, overload (constant current limiting), over-voltage, and over-temperature protection. Their dimension (W x H x D) are: NDR-240, 63 x 125.2 x 113.5 mm; NDR-480, 85.5 x 125.2 x 128.5 mm.
