120- to 960-W AC-DC Power Supplies Support Pulses of 600% of Rated Output

WAGO's line of Pro 2 ac-dc power supplies sets new industry communication and parameterization benchmarks. The Pro 2 Series offers six models ranging from 120- to 960-W. It also provides an energy conversion efficiency of up to 96%. These new power supplies permit fieldbus connection via snap-on type communication modules and feature WAGO’s exclusive high-performance TopBoost and PowerBoost capabilities for maximum system uptime and lower hardware costs.

Another key advantage is that these units can be tailored to any application requirement, allowing parameters such as output voltage and overload behavior to be easily configured via software. These ac-dc power supplies have an input voltage range of 100- to 240-Vac and provide single outputs of either 24-Vdc or 28-Vdc.

WAGO's Pro 2 Power Supplies are highly communicative, featuring optional fieldbus modules for constant communication via standardized protocols. The units also offer monitoring functions that provide continuous power supply data information and signal errors for seamless application monitoring.

Users also have the option of choosing the fieldbus they want to connect with their Pro 2 units. An IO-Link module will be available at launch, with other modules for protocols such as Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP following soon after.

These slimline power supplies combine exceptional high-power density with excellent efficiency, requiring less space and generating less heat in the control cabinet.

The Pro 2 Power Supplies also feature performance-enhancing TopBoost and PowerBoost capabilities. TopBoost delivers 600% extra output current, enabling protection for up to 15ms compared to conventional circuit breakers. PowerBoost supplies an additional 150% output current for five seconds, providing superior reserve power and eliminating the need for oversized power supplies and their associated costs.
