Yamaha Motor Co. (Tokyo) announced plans to launch a new electric scooter in the Tokyo metropolitan area in November and sell it over the Internet. The Passol will be priced at 200,000 yen, not including the battery. The Passol uses a removable lithium-ion battery, which can be fully charged in two and a half hours.
