September 22, 2005 by Jeff Shepard

Power-One Inc. (Camarillo, CA) announced its new PowCom Web™ browser-based, power-systems software, which utilizes an intuitive graphical user interface to centralize real-time control, monitoring, and testing of individual rectifier modules, control modules, and batteries installed at multiple remote locations.

The multi-level, secured-access, solution PowCom Web™ software is scalable and offers a complete suite of industry-leading functionality, including seamless integration of real-time and historical data, alarm notification via e-mail, and streamlined simple network management protocol setup. Comprehensive maintenance functions allow parameters such as battery boost, test, symmetry measurement, current limit, and temperature compensation to be adjusted.

The PowCom Web™ software facilitates turnkey communications by utilizing a standard web browser and a site-supplied IP address. A Power-One Network Interface box/card manages communications between the system controller and a local Ethernet connection.
