NSC Receives US Lithium Battery Patents

The National Science Council (NSC, Taiwan) received three US patents for its polyurethane-based polymeric electrolyte, polymeric-composite electrolyte and triple-polymer-based composite electrolyte lithium batteries. The newly patented technologies will be transferred to local battery manufacturers.

Tien-shing Wen, professor of the National Cheng Kung University, said, "Local battery manufacturers can now cut down their production costs without the hassle of paying royalty for technology transfers."
