Mouser Revs Automotive Applications Site with Hybrid and Electric Vehicles Systems

September 12, 2013 by Jeff Shepard

Mouser Electronics, Inc. has expanded its popular Automotive Applications site by featuring new sections devoted to emerging Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) designs. EV and HEV design technology is evolving rapidly, and the new Mouser Electronics site keeps loyal Mouser visitors up-to-date on the latest news and developments in the expanding field of Automotive Applications.

Mouser Electronics’ expanded Automotive Applications site now features three new EV/HEV application areas: Battery Charging, Start/Stop System, and HEV Main Inverters. At a glance, users get access to detailed block diagrams, explaining each of the system’s operations. Clicking on a component within the block in the diagram pulls up a Mouser-stocked parts list needed to quickly build that piece of the system. Mouser Electronics’ Automotive Applications site also boasts technical articles, application notes, white papers, instructional videos, solution guides, and more.

As Hybrid Electric Vehicles generate more and more consumer interest, they have become increasingly popular design platforms for OEM and aftermarket electronics manufacturers. To serve these increasing numbers of engineers entering the EV/HEV field, Mouser Electronics is ready to educate these engineers by showcasing the newest designs built with the latest components.

“At Mouser Electronics we know that to stay competitive, design engineers must keep up with the latest techniques and technologies,” remarked Kevin Hess, Mouser’s Vice President of Technical Marketing. “The addition of the EV and HEV applications to the Automotive Applications site helps anyone interested in electric automotive design keep their technical knowledge up-to-date along with immediate access to the latest components.”
