Millennium Cell and DaimlerChrysler Reach Agreement

Millennium Cell Inc. (Eatontown, NJ) and DaimlerChrysler Corp. (Auburn Hills, MI) have moved into a new phase of their business relationship, with DaimlerChrysler agreeing to fund continued development of the Millennium Cell Hydrogen-on-Demand™ hydrogen fuel system for it’s fuel cell vehicles.

"For over two years, we have benefited from our cooperative relationship with the Liberty group of DaimlerChrysler. Today, we are pleased to announce our continued cooperation to further develop the Hydrogen on Demand™ fuel system for their fuel-cell-powered vehicles," said Rex Luzader, Millennium Cell vice president, Business Development for Transportation and Hydrogen-Fuel Infrastructure.

DaimlerChrysler recently announced plans to introduce a fleet of clean, efficient, hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicles in the US next year as part of a worldwide test program. Additionally, the company will develop a second-generation fuel cell vehicle powered by sodium borohydride.
