Midtronics Offers Help to Northeast Blackout Victims

August 21, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

The massive power outage in the Northeastern US and Canada prompted Midtronics Inc. (Willowbrook, IL) to offer training and special product promotions to organizations impacted by the situation. To assist organizations with the process of preparing their systems for these occurrences, Midtronics offers basic training information, technical support and consultation with regard to the proper test equipment choice for each unique system at no charge.

"Battery backup and generator systems are inherently designed to mitigate situations like the one that began on August 14," said Todd Stukenberg, director of marketing for Midtronics. "However, because these systems are called into service very infrequently, maintenance is often forgotten or managers are unaware of the need for regular attention to the batteries. Midtronics has years of experience in the areas of battery testing and maintenance and our products make this process simple and the systems more reliable."
