April 07, 2013 by Jeff Shepard

Eltek AStoday announced consolidation of its manufacturing activities for industrial power systems to its state-of-the-art production hub in Liptovsky Hradok, Slovakia. The news was made at the Hannover Messe trade show (8-12 April; Hannover, Germany). The new facility has a high production capacity of 7,000 systems per month on a single shift and features state-of-the-art engineering capabilities. The plant is highly automated and ISO 9001 certified, ensuring an efficient flow of goods.

Testing and quality assurance are an integral part of all processes. System assembly is accomplished by experienced engineers on 10 assembly lines. The 2,440-square-meter warehouse space handles the unloading of incoming shipments, storage, system packaging and preparation for international shipment. The Eltek manufacturing plant in Slovakia was completed in 2008 and is Eltek’s main production hub serving Europe and the Middle East.

"Increasing demand for high-efficiency power systems in the industrial sector has put greater pressure on our supply chain,” says Lars Dousa, Eltek’s Executive Vice President of Industrial Power. “We have therefore decided to consolidate our industrial system manufacturing to our new high capacity facility in Slovakia."
