Conexant Systems Inc. (Newport Beach, CA) has begun production shipments of its 4mm x 4mm CDMA power amplifier modules for use in two new handsets manufactured by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. (Seoul, Korea).
"Production ramp of our industry-leading 4mm x 4mm InGaP-based solution demonstrates Conexant's position in the CDMA power amplifier market," said Moiz Beguwala, SVP and general manager of Conexant's wireless communications division. "We intend to ramp production to about one million units over the next several quarters."
